Derbyshire Cricket Board
Heritage Training Opportunity
The Derbyshire Cricket Board is working with the Cricket Derbyshire Foundation and the “Oral History of Cricket” which the Foundation is running.
The project includes the opportunity for training for local clubs and we are trying to get as many clubs/ organisations as possible involved.
The idea is for representatives from local clubs to attend and take part in a 2-3 hour, evening training session with a heritage / museum professional from Nottingham Trent University.
We would like clubs/ organisations to bring photographs, balls, books, fixture cards, trophies etc. and be shown how best to preserve and look after them.
The intention is that this will be a fun introduction to heritage training.
The event in the High Peak is on Thursday 24th January @ Glossop Cricket Club, North Road, Glossop SK13 7AS
The session will run from 6.45 to 9pm, refreshments will be provided and there is no charge for attendees.
Clubs are invited to bring 2/ 3 representatives and each club attending will receive a free starter kit to take away with them.
Please book your place by contacting me at or 07976 504276 or alternatively contact David Griffin at or 07754 045063.
Cricket is a game rich in tradition and history and this training will provide guidance on how to preserve it.
